Sea snakes the coast
tide backslides
slithers away
always with a long, last hiss.
Sea kisses the shore
foam embraces
races away
always with a backward glance.
Tide rushes
into rock pools
images flooding dreams.
Waves retreat
rasping
like a tiger
purring.
