Black-Capped Chickadee
snug dreams deep in the evergreens
of soft trills and bright berry sap returning
sky-sheets of light
and soon the wind
warm
God resides there.
Black-Capped Chickadee,
long winter days of grey are here
the wind will scratch through cover
prepare
collect enough
stay aware
God resides here.
