Seeing Through Your Eyes Poem by Roy Ballard

Seeing Through Your Eyes

‘Just pull yourself together.'
My life was on the skid.
I never cut the tether
as other lovers did
and so in dots and dashes
our destiny was spelt;
in scalding spots and splashes
our love was set to melt.
There was a time when only
your presence brought me peace
but then you had to leave me
for every life must cease.
You left me, that was no surprise
but still I see things through your eyes.
