Self Destruction Poem by grace mariner

Self Destruction

What wanton act of treachery is this?
The cruelty of your actions is only exceeded by the pain it inflicts.
Your incredible display of arrogance is facade, carefully
crafted to hide the damaged thing that you are.
Perhaps you want my hate, my disdain.
Does that make it easier for you?
Well I refuse to hate you.
It would be like hating a cornered animal for biting it's attacker.
It is your nature, you're survival skill...
It will destroy you in the end, you will destroy yourself.
You don't need my hate.
You have enough for the both of us.

Hatred will never bring us peace! It leads to war and destruction. Nice piece of work.
