Self-Reflection Poem by Marlena Scott

Self-Reflection

The class started off really nice
We played a name game to break the ice
I was pregnant when I started the class
And I did it with some sass
The second week of being in class
I was told I needed to pass
But Thursday I had a baby boy
I was in such a joy
Everyone was surprised when I came back
I told them that I didn't want to slack
The first row is where I was sitting
And I liked what I was getting
I was always the one rasing my hand
Sometimes I was banned
Hard thing for me were typing the writing
It was nail biting
Learning about nouns, pronouns and verbs
We actually had to do an essay about "herbs"
Part of speech is where it began
Everyone wasn't a fan
But the more she explained it
The more people got it
Four weeks down and four more to go
There was still time to grow
CME practice 1,2, and 3 was on its way
She pray that everyone slay
Professor Lowe told us repeatedly read our books
So we don't end up like crooks
