Self-Resurrection Poem by Doris Cornago

Self-Resurrection

Rating: 5.0

I am stuck in this eternal chaos
Words you've carelessly blurted
Anger in your dark eyes flashing
Lightning as two whips lashing

Hid myself deep in the tunnel
Quaking in fear all self forgotten
Minimizing even my breathing
Just to get through a work day

Sought solace in silent songs
Rocked myself to sleep alone
Renewed redemption in poems
Healing soul in self-resurrection

Self-Resurrection
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Please don't say things in anger because the pain can last forever despite apologies.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Doris Cornago 09 March 2022

This is where I write my poems, mot a fortress of four walls but with a backdrop of a high tree and the open sky all around me. Freedom is found where you can be alone even for a few seconds to write a poem.
