Senseless Killings Poem by Sylvia Chidi

Senseless Killings

Rating: 5.0

In all kinds of clubs and tourist hotels
In the air-planes and the locomotive trains
In the places of worship where all should be well
In the local cafes, fruit stalls and the shopping malls

All these senseless killings
Where is the great love we are concealing?
I hear the ordinary people sadly squealing!
Oh! No! This I am not feeling - feeling!
All these senseless killings
Fear and pandemonium erase joyful chilling
On no! This I am not feeling - feeling!
I hear the sound of dozens of suicide pills
We must stand still and believe in a positive will

Imagine the lives of your loved ones
Ended by a knife or by the hands of a gun
The life threatening harm of eradicating family
Mass slaughters produce such great tragic calamity

All these senseless killings
Everywhere they are spilling
Oh! No! This I am not feeling - feeling!
All these senseless killings
Are definitely not thrilling
Oh! No! This I am not feeling - feeling!
We the human race need some healing
In love we need to start really believing
So our lives have value and are positively fulfilling
