September Song Poem by nigel colledge

September Song

September song

More than 1,000 children were caught carrying knives in schools last year - with the youngest aged just four.

I'm Noah and I am just five
My classmates have a knife
They fight and pin me down
And tell me I act like a clown

Teacher says I can be a girl
I look at Amelia, Evi and Shirl
They in a huddle in whispers
And laughing aloud like sisters

I am going to say I'm a girl
And grow my hair with a tail
Call myself Emma or Chloé
Maybe Hannah, Mia or Poppy

Girls are always going to parties
With frocks and hair in trusses
That's it! New school year tomorrow
I'll tell teacher and end my sorrow.
