O Happy Day:
Maytime bells are ringing
for two hearts, pure as the dove
anxious to be father and mother
of babies born from love...
A modern apartment awaits them
flowers adorning each room
delight, ecstasy, happiness
for God's chosen bride and groom.
Mother to Child:
Someone may steal my diamond
and my adorable gold, but the
thought of someone stealing you
petrifies my soul....
In my arms I'll nurture you
no thief shall I behold
for you are mine eternally
my diamond set in gold.
It Happens Now and Then:
Have you ever walked on stage
adorned as the honoured guest,
accepting a crystal accolade
giving a speech, under duress?
When deep within your heart
you'd much prefer to be
sitting peacefully in your garden
beneath the flowering cherry tree.
