Setting Down Where? Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Setting Down Where?

Rating: 5.0

Oh dear powerful sun, hear
Where are you going dear
Are you going to disappear?
Or are you going to hide?

Spreading rays whole day
By command of God you do
So much of power you have
You care creatures here.

Then where are you going?
Setting down step by step
We witness no power now
You are calm and speechless.

Giving reflection of light
To moon to shine at night sky
Are you going back to come
With renewal of power in dusk?

Very mysterious you are really
But truth you sing everyday
Glory of father of heaven
We eagerly sing with you dear.

Sun is slowly setting down. Whole day sun has given us rays. This poem is heart touching.

Most of the people get up in the morn, look outside, the rising light of the sun, and most probably yawn. And you dear poet right a lovely paean in its praise.
