Shadows Gone Poem by ... ...

Shadows Gone

She has gone
The moment passed
It was lost
So fast so fleeting so beautiful
A silent smile
A quiet kiss
A lasting memory
But doomed to be
No more to me
But a final sigh
Of resignation
Because she is free
And all I have
Is a memory.
I cannot hold
The hope, the wish
That it is all a dream
That I'll arise tomorrow
To only see
Her tired eyes
The windows sorrow
Those shining stars
The lips of blood on winter snow
The warmth of a beating heart
To fill the void
So long ago
To hold me tight
To cherish and love in that sleepless night
Where all life is gone
When all slumber
But us
In the journey of a lifetime art
Beside the glowing coals my lover
No other, no other,
But no more, no other,
Gone for another,
For winter, my december
Has brought me the tears of neptune's solitude
To awaken the image of this tragic end
In Silver
The fallen stars touch the skies on the water's eyes
For I know not to look above
At the cold face of my love
For whom all weep in the shadows.
