Sharp Edge Of Love Poem by Christie Maker

Sharp Edge Of Love

His arms around me, strong and protective,
Never stop loving me, never rejective,
Love me til the end of time,
Always love me, always be mine.

Don’t take away this love we share,
I promise you, I’ll never dare.
Please don’t hurt me, don’t go away,
I’ll love you always, I’m here to stay.

When we made that vow to each other,
I promised I would never love another,
I never thought it was possible for you to leave,
I never knew how much I’d grieve.

Like someone’s locked me in the dark to never again see light,
Never again be happy, I won’t even fight.
The struggle to live is getting harder,
and the room I’m in is getting darker,

I’ll never see light, I’ll never be free
I can’t get over that he doesn’t love me.
You’ve hurt me bad, you’ve gone away,
I thought you’d always be there, as we go through day by day.

I’m trapped in darkness, I can’t eat, just sleep.
Think about the happy times, but that’s only a dream,
My friends are worried, but I don’t care
I’m covered thick in darkness I just sit there,

Please come back, what can’t you see?
That there’ll never be anyone else for me
