Sharp Scarf Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Sharp Scarf

Sharp Scarf

I looked for a title
-after wrote a poem
-on meeting bank teller.

She told me of Iran
-video of the girl:
- "Was pushed and…"

I got it as: "Injured! "
- (Bones in face broken!)

From then and after:
- "Make short film, of poem! "

I follow the news
- (of the girls who rebel.)

In Iran, I always
-felt happy that nations
-who gather together
-to form a larger one
-as natives of Iran
-are not so divided…

No knife and no dagger
-could cut us to pieces
-but now I, feel afraid:
- "The scarf is sharper
-than a sword and razor! "

I see that some women
-are against the women

This is my worst fear
- "Are women divided? "

Our women are half of our nation.
-Can they be divided? Divided?
-I hope not since if so, it is a disaster! ! !
-I beg them: "Put aside difference!
-become one, fight for rights, freedom."
