She Speaks Through Time Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

She Speaks Through Time

Ancestral memories do manifest
Appear in dreams from the ancient past
DNA which lived from the earliest
Life from the beginning to the last

Through time mitochondrial heritage
Our great mother speaks from eons long gone
Existence from the prehistoric age
In your mind she does shine all that has shone

It is only ego that separates
One from unification, the whole
Recede far enough and all integrates
For there can never be more than one soul

Great mother lives from beginning to last
From her image everyone is cast
