She Will See Poem by Pete Rivera

She Will See

Maybe, she'll see
Maybe, she'll see

She was a good girl
Living in a bad world
Trying to make sense of her surroundings
Never held her hands out
Never learned to shout
Watching me die
Murder's like a fairy tale
Just living in a fairy tale
Watching me die

She never had anyone to look after her
She never had anyone to make her smile
And I always thought if I came back to her
She'll remember after awhile

Maybe she'll see
Maybe she'll see

Who knows, maybe she'll be set free
Maybe she'll remember me
Maybe she'll look down trying to
Climbing up the apple tree
Maybe she'll see that my smile turned to a frown
Maybe she'll see that only she can turn my world around
Maybe she'll see

Maybe
Maybe, she'll see
Maybe, she'll see
Just maybe

I just wanna know
How far can I go
Without you
I just wanna know
How far I am
From the truth

Got that twinkle in my eye
Got that cloud in my high
Got that concrete down low
Gotta put on a show
Make a scene
Gonna make a scene
And maybe
Maybe she'll see
My smile turn to a frown
And maybe
Maybe she'll see
That only she can turn my world around
