Give me this beautiful young woman as a wife,
For i am lying on my bed waiting for her;
Becasue my heart strongly wants her love,
And i am Sheth from the land of her muse.

Speak tenderly to my heart oh my sweet one,
For you are the only woman that i want;
And by the River Nile i will wait for you.

by the River Nile,
There i sat lonely to watch what goes on;
For beauty and pleasure came and bathed my eyes,
And out of the river came seven cows!

They grazed among the reeds of my love,
For on the river bank i do wait always for my lover;
So give me this beautiful woman as a wife.
