Silence And Punishment Poem by kumar mukul

Silence And Punishment

To be silenced
is to be punished, for you.

When the words and gestures
are restrained from
sophisticated obscenity
your chagrin
radiates from your dark eyes.
At times,
you direct it
inwards.

And then,
it's a fortunate punishment for me
to try and reach you.
A punishment, I enjoy! ! !

My cutie pie,
We bond through pain;
the stabs of which,
if my poetry absorbs,
it manifests greatness.

That is when I see,
realize, know
the foundation of,
my being a poet!
