Silence Of Love Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Silence Of Love

In so many dreams
I prayed for thy heart
Where the devil plays
Where my nightmare starts

Lay way to the end
Bring me on home
It is the way of the lonely
That must love, alone

Sweet love, how I miss thee
When memories come alive in the dark
Why must I always be searching
For my love short of heart

They hither, with echoes
They tell me of lies
Only for pleasure
When screams pursue pride

Atop the rise of forever
Before the beginning of time
Overlooking an ocean of heartache
Made by the tears left behind

I can bear never knowing
My 'will, ' shall survive
Forward, the search shall continue
From darkness to light

Sleep well my sweet darling
Though you'll never know why
I shall love you forever
In the silence of night

There will always be, desire
Within the fires we start
As long as a dreamer possesses
Love in their heart
