Silent Change Poem by Victor Pratt

Silent Change

Rating: 4.0

Inevitable change, surely expected, a mirror of
life’s shifting desires before birth, in youth, in
Maturity, in twilight unto eternity;

For what is change but purpose in rhythm with
life, inseparable; as time goes in oneness with tide,
unstoppable
as a new dawn, new hopes,
new era.

Like fleeting wave it beckons even from afar,
evokes imagination, drives innovation in
boundless value creation, value exchange, value
addition to greater good;

Breaking new grounds, charting frontiers in milestones as Nelson
Mandela’s long walk to freedom, Mohamed
Yunus’ banking the unbanked, Safaricom's
M-pesa in mobile service to masses;

Blazing platforms
in candid exchange unmasking truths
unspoken, commonalities abound, possibilities
unlimited, partnerships for change in motion,
inequalities on the mend.

In silent embrace it lingers, nurtures dreams,
clears pathways; for in men, women, even
children dwell precious life, talent, passion,
wisdom;

Ah, the promise of open one world.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A reflection of the movement of things in the universe. What is found beyond this movement is all real, but perhaps imperceptible. Like earthquakes and vulcanoes, breams and visions, the things that effect real change in the world, in life are silent, It is after these that humanity and society take cognizance, reflect and make them loud. I call it silent change.
