Silent Duel Poem by Gianni Pintus

Silent Duel

The sun is so hot
Please be gentle
I’m still burning
It’s in your heart
I saw you standing at the beach
With your heart running
With something on your face
This sunset it seems wasted
When I look through your eyes.

The wind blow you hair away
Ripped and torn against my faith
But suddenly the sea grows
As storms play against my soul
Still I hope there is something left
To show that I was here
Before sinking into the ocean
In this forgotten years

My heart is in denial
Hiding in shadows
With my eyes flying
My future now is burn
And suddenly
I ask myself what I've learned.

My temptations are breaking hard
Flowing with fire in my veins
This awaiting is laughable
Eyes in tears, holding my soul
The fallen love promise to hunt me
Then what will be, will be.

We stand face to face
in this promontory
It’s a silent duel
Eyes in eyes
No words coming out
I’m running low
My legs are gone
A gentle blow
I’m there! almost
Feeling pale
I’m still here with you
Looking at the horizon
fear to lose you is scaled
Staring at the sky
And I see the heaven blue
tell me I'm still in love with you.
