Silent Sildier Poem by shelbie bozeman

Silent Sildier

You may not see me,
Your life such a rush
A silent soldier
Hiding in the brush

You may feel alone
Life pulling you down
I’m the silent soldier
Laying on the ground

You cry in the dark
Just wanting life to begin
I’m the silent soldier
Just trying to blend in

You cut to kill the pain
Yet I sit and cry
I’m the silent soldier
Watching you die

I stand at your grave
Your life met its end
I’m the silent soldier
Who was always your friend
