Silent Tears Poem by Charley Staines

Silent Tears

Rating: 5.0

This Juliet was bleeding,
But you can't see her blood,
The silent tears she cries,
A river flows inside.

Drowning in the flood,
She saw her Romeo on the shore,
Despite it all she reached out,
And her heart did break no more.

He pulled her from the tide,
Saved the dying maid,
She afraid to love him,
Yet by her side he stayed.

A day spent in harmony,
Can one moment mean so much?
No longer did this Juliet suffer,
Escaping hate's bitter touch.

Then darkness cloaked the world,
Without a word he vanished into the night,
He never heard her heartstrings tear,
Or felt her heart-wrenching fright.

Once again she did bleed,
For Romeo's sweet love,
Sealed by her fate,
This Juliet drowns in a river of hate.
