Silver Twilight Poem by G J Salgado

Silver Twilight

Just as I thought we were estranged and torn
My shadow didn't exist until the day you were born
Just when I thought we had seen your extinction
In the hall I saw your ghostly apparition
I always knew you'd never leave
I can see your face and hear you breathe
I felt the moon's love upon my shoulder
As I too have grown older
Don't fall behind when we share our imaginations
Upon the wrath of all the constellations
We are just a whisper away from the heavens
I remain spellbound without hell within
The gates of fire will dim and have to wait
There is no room for it in my soul without hate
The days that follow freeze from our blazing spell
All that is left will be hollow as we've frozen hell
Hell is without its keeper
It all disappeared and no one has seen her
For it has turned to ash of the night
All that is evil is forgotten within the silver twilight
