Simple Worth Poem by by her

Simple Worth

It may not be the dress from Gucci,
It may not be the handkerchief from Dior.
It may only be made by the simple tailor.
But deep in his heart,
He knows it has something that the branded doesn’t have.

It may not be the poem of Emily Dickinson,
Or even the play of William Shakespeare.
But this piece of literature,
Made by the simple but intelligent girl.
I know it will reach the hearts of the downcasted,
And change the lives of those who fell on rocky ground.

It may not be the painting of Van Gogh,
Or the masterpiece of Picasso.
But this picture,
Ugly as it may look.
This is symbolic,
And its symbolism would surely make young girls cry.
