Simply Not Interested - (Villanelle)

I appreciate what you’ve suggested
and your honest feelings I know are true
but I simply am not interested

I’m not the person you’ve requested
there’s nothing I want or need from you
I appreciate what you’ve suggested

your sincere thoughts have been attested
there’s nothing more that you can do
but I simply am not interested

the thought and time that you’ve invested
after all the things that we’ve been through
I appreciate what you’ve suggested

your kind proposal must be protested
hope it doesn’t leave you feeling blue
but I simply am not interested

you’re emotions are uncontested
you haven’t really said anything new
I appreciate what you’ve suggested
but I simply am not interested

If I should die, think only this of me:
