Sisters Poem by Veronica T. C.

Sisters

Rating: 5.0

Friends at first laughing away the years that passed us by,
As the years came along we became sisters,

A bond I wouldn't trade for anything.
A bond that was unbreakable at first.

Hehe haha through our teens figuring out where we belong,
A few years later we're in our twenties partying,
Still strong as ever my dear sister.

Through the heartaches of relationships,
As life changes around us.
Life hits us hard a couple of times.
We lean on one another getting through it,
We remained strong.

Sleepovers, movie nights, random adventures, beach outings,
Lake trips, birthdays shared together & grabbing Ben & Jerrys with chicken wings.

Just seem like a distant memory now.
I would be lying if I said I didn't miss you.
Fifteen years of friendship down the drain.

The bond is broken wish I could go back in time,
But the bond could never be the same.

As the weekend approaches,
The phone line is dead between us.

As the months go by,
The memories fade,

As our favorite songs come out on the radio,
Dancing & singing just doesn't seem fun anymore.
