Skin Poem by Celt Merlyn

Skin

You wear a different skin for different people
Don’t think I don’t know it
For this one, you are that; for that one you are this-
For one, the lonely girl bereft of love
For another the savvy girl
And another the girl of wit
And another, the superstar
On and on, you decide which to be
I am not that stupid, don’t you see?
