Sleeping On Bad Dreams Poem by RIC BASTASA

Sleeping On Bad Dreams

the house sinks
down to the bottom of the sea
the trees swallowed by
mud monsters
the biggest wave comes
like a huge tongue of the
of the Giant Lizard
swallowing kids and houses

watching all these
you dream of a glass of cold water
a light switching on
throughout the night
