Slipping Away Poem by Katheryn Foley

Slipping Away

Fell asleep knife in hand again,
Pillow soaking wet with tears,
I'm sorry I did it again,
I was just so broken,
Couldn't put up with all of it anymore,

I miss you like crazy,
My vision getting hazy,
Sad inside, all I do is cry,
Every time we say goodbye.

I cut, bloody, warm, inside I'm torn,
Pieces lost, invisible, tossed,
I can't believe,
I couldn't believe,
I don't believe in myself.

Pulling away,
Today is my last day,
Now you will pay,
With nothing left to say,

Now I can fly away like a bird,
These are my last words.
