Slow Dyin’ Poem by Alfred Ramos

Slow Dyin’

I just hate this slow dyin’
Little did I know
Living as fast as I could go
That one day I would be dyin’ slow
Every day seems shorter
As the new pains just creep in
The clock turns faster
And the sun won’t sleep in
Who ever invented the rush hour
Must have been on his last breath
Huffing and puffing
Trying to outrun death
Pain and suffering
Have become twins
A useless tug of war
A struggle no one wins
I just hate this slow dyin’
A bitter pill to swallow
Let me lay my head to rest
Cause I have other dreams to follow
