Small Town - Poem by Shelley Caines

In a small town
Everyone knows your name
Everyone knows your business
In a small town
Word gets around
Rumors fly
Some talk, others whisper
More stare, some look away
Gossip is the game
The favorite pass-time
Feelings get hurt
Feelings get spared
But even with all this
I'm proud to say
This is MY small town.

There is something special...and.....indeed sacred about the small town! (Report) Reply
