Snake In The Grass Poem by Phil Soar

Snake In The Grass

He tastes the air with his forked tongue
And slithers through the grass
And as I sit there sunbathing
He bit me on the ass
And now I've got a swelling
To match my meat and veg
And the pain from all the venom
Has tipped me over the hedge
