Snake Tongue Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Snake Tongue

Snake tongue

Times and times, I sit down
Hold my head in my palms
And ask me: "Why? Why
Do you think about…? "

I know him, is racist
Have reason, prove it.

So, it is waste of time
To bother my poor mind.

Obama was not yet
The US president…
And Trump one more of
Hoteliers and merchants,
Then, noted they differed.

Latter's tongue, divided
Was too long, extended
And spoke like snakes!

In his heart, was racist,
Dishonest, kept hiding,
Therefore, in open said:
"Barack is, a Kenyan."

In this way liar showed
Racism, xenophobia
Both against the skin
And the faith of Islam.

Some saw and said nothing
And some left, unnoticed.

Now, under thick saddle
His tactics changed manner:
"The Democrats hate me,
For my way, brilliance…"

Cheated, lied, escaped tax
Now poses, like showman.
