So Many Poor Souls Poem by Francis Duggan

So Many Poor Souls

Rating: 5.0

So many poor souls in the World of today
In poor suburbs near and places far away
They even feel thankful just to be alive
Their great struggle in life is for to survive
So many poor souls who are doing it quite tough
Without a home or a bed they are living it rough
When I complain of my lot to my own self I do lie
In comparison to them so lucky am I,
In the bigger Cities the homeless not rare
And millions of hunger dying in the big World out there
In a World where hundreds grow poorer for every new millionaire
One may say that's life but life's not always fair
And I am not one with a right to complain
Since compared to many I never have known hunger pain.
