So Unsure

You know
I've wanted to move on
But I'm so unsure
When I've wanted you for so long

Then suddenly
I see you
I finally got the chance
It's too good to be true

Feels like I'm in a trance
We both stare
Right through the sun's glare
Lighting up your blonde hair

You look so serious
I must be feeling delirious
Yet my heartbeat feels steady
Tells me I'm ready

But I'm not
I do not dare
Because you probably wouldn't care
But I'm so unsure

I've wanted to see you so long
So why does it feel so wrong?
Is this how it's always going to be?
so why do I worry?

Feel like I'm in part of some jury
Having to make an important decision
And cover up the incision.
Yet it always comes undone

And I'm back to where I've begun
But I know there's more
I've just got to find the right door
But I'm just so unsure

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
