Social Comment - Photographs

For the last two hundred years
We've recorded life in laughter and tears
Photographs now talk to us
At times when memories are a must

I look back on them now
And we remember times and how
We lived and loved each other well
I think from the pictures you can tell

One day others will look at these photographs
And wonder what we felt in the past
Staring back frozen in time
Was the past for us so sublime?

The photographs of my late wife are so special to me. Lovely poem.
