Solar Eclipse (Acrostic) Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Solar Eclipse (Acrostic)

S) So it happened, as much expected,
O) Over the land on Yangtze River Belt.
L) Lucky or not, it depended on the clouds,
A) As would-be viewers of a grand wonder,
R) Rarely did we worry so about a blunder.

E) Ethereal magic staged by the Sun and Moon,
C) Celestial stars crossed shadows, as love destined.
L) Lord of Sun veiled and kissed by his mistress,
I) In the six-minute gloom she found his lips.
P) People mortal could only see her curving shade,
S) Seldom do they understand the love so sublime.
E) Eclipse may mean the opposite, and the opposite implies simple Delight.
