Solitary Poem by Richard D Remler

Solitary

..........

I've been to that
Secret place in the wood
Where Summer and Autumn meet.
Where those breathless echoes
Of another time
Rest their silken scarfs
In the blue Ivy.
Where the sun,
And the moon,
And the stars gather
In-between the quiet
Silvered twilight,
Simply to entertain their
Solitary Muse.

And I've heard the
Trees whisper,
As they cast their riddles
Into this twilight.
I've heard the
Akhaten crickets sing
Of their legends
Into a waking eve.
And I've seen
The fireflies linger
So very near,
Just to drink in
The dreams,
And riddles,
And the quiet moments
Shared within
The shadows.

And it is beautiful.
