Some Are All Too Willing Poem by Francis Duggan

Some Are All Too Willing

Some are all too willing for to generalize
Without even seeming for to realize
That they are being judgemental on a whole Race
For the crimes of one with them all are in disgrace.

Those who generalize can be racist as well
By the way they speak of others it is not hard to tell
That their latent racism they are struggling to hide
Of them racist tendencies cannot be denied.

That there's good and bad in every Race to all Races apply
And to say otherwise the truth one does deny
We only see in others what we wish to see
That is how it is and how 'twill always be.

Those who generalize and the racists in thinking are not far apart
Neither of them are blessed with a generous heart
In their ways of thinking they do seem so small
Long live the great truth on a 'fair go for all'
