Some Days Poem by Katie Porter

Some Days

Some days its easy to forgot,
That you don’t love me any more,
That we are over,
When something happens,
You’re the first person I think to tell.
The first to come to my mind.

This love has ended,
You said goodbye,
You burnt that bridge,
When you said you didn’t care,
When you said you never wanted,
To see or hear from me again.

Some days I long for you,
To talk about nothing,
To talk about my demons,
To cook your dinner,
To just share that secret smile,
The one that lied,
When it said,
Ill love you now and for always,
Ill always be here for you no matter what,

This love has ended,
You said goodbye,
You burnt that bridge,
When you said you didn’t care,
When you said you never wanted,
To see or hear from me again.

Some days I want to see you,
Other days I’m scared to run into you,
I wish we could be friends like before,
When we used to talk about,
Nothing and everything.

But those days are all gone now,
Only these hollow and pointless days remain,
And I wish I could change that,
Change your mind,
But we both now you don’t care,
We both know there is no love left,
From you.

Only my love for you remains.
