Some Lines And A Photograph Poem by Avik Datta Gupta

Some Lines And A Photograph

I woke up this morning in search of the Sun!
Playing hide and seek behind the curtain of clouds.
Twinkling like a little star
A star that we had wished sometimes,
To be like the star, which we could relate.
And up ahead on the stage in the sky,
Apart from the horizon and me,
There were little birds singing,
Momentarily, and then pausing!
Trying to remember in the brief silence,
That half forgotten song,
In the breeze of it's breath, of hazy memories!
Obscured by the clouds,
As I make another beginning,
With some lines and a photograph,
Of a beautiful new day!
