Some Of His Memories Poem by Francis Duggan

Some Of His Memories

Some of his memories he has lived to regret
The things in his past he would rather forget
The mistakes in a second chance he would rectify
But one cannot change what has happened in decades gone by

Yet so many like him in the World today
Some memories they would not rather have with them does stay
As ghost in their minds from the distant past
And the clock on their lives ever keep ticking fast

Many of us humans are beings of self image and pride
And our secrets of the past from others we does hide
They live on in us as ghosts of the mind
To be secretive in some of our ways by Nature we are designed

Though in his memory they never will fade
He never does talk of mistakes he has made
But that none of us are perfect happens to be true
And he now lives as an honourable person for to give him his due.
