Sometimes To Lose Poem by Bill Simmons

Sometimes To Lose

Rating: 5.0

You can find yourself a woman
Down at the local bar
The problem is, find one like this
She will break your heart

She has already been there
Been down to many roads
Been cheated on and lied to
Deception is all she knows

You think you can love her
Better have a strong strength of will
But when you do, be prepared to lose
Against a cold cold heart of steel

It is not her own fault
Life has made her that way
She searched for love never giving up
Only searched the wrong place

She knows how to break a heart
Been through it on her own
Been taught how to lie and cheat
Knows all about alone

You can try to love her if you can
But better be a strong man
To love her, know how to give
And be there with open hands

You can try to love her
And for her sake I hope you do
But when you do know the truth
Be prepared sometimes to lose.
