Sonnet Poem by Seth Yuhi Musinga

Sonnet

Don't grieve for me when I am dead
for I'm still here I'm by your side
Give word that I am the star, shining so bright
it won't be forever, the day will come and then
my caring arms will hold you, when we meet again.
I am so close that every tear you shed
Touches and torments me though you think me dead.
I've ended life's tasks allotted to me,
So put me in the flight headed out to heaven.
Don't stand at my grave and cry
for the lord has chosen me to be with him
but let your affection even with my being decline.
For this voyage we all must take, and each must go unaided.
It's all part of the owner's blueprint, a step on the way to home.
Don't grieve for me, from discomfort I'm free
Lift up your hearts, and harmony to thee
