Sonnet 9 Poem by Suelynn Walters

Sonnet 9

Rating: 5.0

The pouring rain falls from the sky
Secretly I wait to see your face
Time is passing quickly on by
As I nervously start to pace
My heart beats excitingly fast
How I want to hold you once again
How long will this discretion last
Will this soon all come to an end
I wait and I wait for you to show
You're way to late now I sigh
I suppose it's time I must go
With tears running down my eyes
When will I ever learn you're not mine
No thanks to my heart for keeping me so bind
