Sonnet For A Lost Soul Poem by Thomas Koron

Sonnet For A Lost Soul

Sometimes we lose everything that we had,
And wonder should we break instead of bend.
Thinking about the love we never send,
We’re left miles behind, feeling so sad.
Few things in life will hurt us quite as bad
As proof that broken hearts will never mend.
We wonder will this sorrow ever end;
Injured to the point of driving us mad.
And so, now we find ourselves pondering
Our purpose, and we are left wandering.
Indeed, I wipe the sweat up off my brow
When I think about times most disdainful.
Alone now, I’ve written just as painful
Of words as my thoughts will ever allow.
