Sonnet: In Married-Life Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: In Married-Life

Rating: 4.5

Man, give your body to your wife and love
Her wholeheartedly whenever you can;
Woman, you give yourself to him and prove
The world of yours is him- the only man!

Both Man, Woman when bonded by three knots!
Just give you minds to each other all life;
For, two is better than one on earth-plots
And in combating problems- grief and strife.

O spouse, then give your soul, all pure to God,
The Master of your destiny always;
Remember that Heaven’s your great reward,
After a good tenure on earthly base.

Hence, love your spouse wholly for Heaven’s sake’s,
For, sacred is the nuptial ties God makes.
