Sonnet: Knowledge Changes Fast Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Knowledge Changes Fast

Today’s knowledge gets outmoded so fast;
The corpus gets renewed in shorter span;
What’s relevant today is a thing of past;
There is a need to updat for each man.

Today’s new books just last for fewer years,
As frontiers of knowledge widen farther;
Technology can make one par with seers;
The horizons move with changing weather.

How much a brain can take? No one can say;
The world has shrunk as travel speeds are high;
Can light’s-speed barrier, man break some day?
Even the stars and planets look now nigh!

Alas! Soul’s needs remain always the same;
Man sins, forgetting God- indeed a shame!
