Sonnet: ’tis Heyday For The Corrupt Globally Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: ’tis Heyday For The Corrupt Globally

The wind of corruption is blowing hard
In politics and spheres we come across;
Its ill-effects are hurting every bard,
And proves to be for all, a burden/cross.

The sea of corruption is in high tide,
Eroding shores of democracy’s world;
The arrogant will not by law abide,
Until they’re caught, punished in jails hurled!

The mood of corruption is everywhere
In minds and hearts of people, stealing wealth,
Affecting poor and needy’s much welfare,
Destroying every nation’s people’s health.

Most populace can’t live on earth in peace,
Unless God quakes and changes souls with ease.
