The ones who tend to make money in life
Are not the truly talented or skilled,
And those who fight their challenges in strife,
Nor those whose minds and hearts are problem-filled.
The ones who live in poverty for long
Are those God-blessed with talents, gifts immense,
Who fear the Lord and sing a plaintive song,
But find themselves in woods of life so dense.
Yet, there are ones who're born the luckiest,
Who accrue wealth without their fore-head's sweat;
And those unfortunate who stay poorest,
But Maker frees them from all kinds of debt.
But, many earthly things perish with time;
Good deeds and thoughts always remain sublime.
